The PHTLive Grant for Creative Minds was established to support undergraduate students who are passionate about creativity and artistic expression. Inspired by the PHTLive platform, the grant recognizes individuals who use creativity—especially music—as a powerful tool for storytelling and connection.

Grant Overview

Creative expression has the ability to inspire change, build understanding, and bring people together. Through this grant, PHTLive aims to encourage students to continue developing their talents while pursuing their academic and professional goals. Each year, a $1,000 grant is awarded to a selected undergraduate student through an original essay contest highlighting their creative journey, personal experiences, and future vision.

Criteria

Applicants interested in the PHTLive Grant for Creative Minds must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at an accredited college or university
    • Must demonstrate a strong interest in creative fields such as music, storytelling, performance, media, or related disciplines
    • Must submit an original essay that reflects creativity, personal insight, and passion
    • Essays should clearly explain the applicant’s creative journey and future aspirations

Essay Prompt

“Describe how music has shaped your life and how you plan to use your creative talents to inspire or connect with others in the future.”

Applicants should share personal experiences, influences, and their vision for how their creativity can make a meaningful impact.

Amount

One time award of $1,000

Deadline

The deadline to apply for the Grant is December 15, 2026.

Winner Announced

The winner of the Grant will be announced on January 15, 2027.
